On the Harrison Ford soundtrack story, the comment on Bluesky of “Allie McBeal getting railed to Yub Nub on the soundbar” had me laughing until I cried today, especially since I knew someone during my pro writing days who confessed that he was sick of his girlfriend playing it.
I was trying to think of the worst song from Star Wars to turn on when it’s time…and yeah, yub nub might be the worst. I’d rather have the cantina band song or Jedi Rocks playing.
I also checked to see if I could get “YUB NUB” as a license plate. Someone beat me to it. Not surprised. But it would have been fun.
It could be worse. One of the more disturbing gags in the Sex Pistols film “The Great Rock ‘n Roll Swindle” involved a record industry exec being spanked with a leaf rake to “I Taught I Taw A Putty Tat.”
