A little bit about the Halloween costumes: the company that bought out Simplicity, the official supplier of Star Wars costume patterns (among many, many others) declared Chapter 7, and costumers were understandably worried that Simplicity’s printers, some of the only remaining printers that can print on pattern-grade tissue paper, would be sold for scrap. Apparently a buyer who wants to keep the company going stepped in, now that various issues with the bankruptcy of JoAnn Fabrics are being resolved, so you’ll probably see new patterns for the Mando movie right about the time the movie comes out. That MIGHT give costumers time to get their outfits done by Halloween: I know just enough about costume design to be dangerous, and I’m always floored by costumers who can get some of those elaborate outfits done in days instead of months.
That's interesting. Could explain it. I've had instagram serve me up ads for some online costume seller. I can't tell if they're aimed at a halloween crowd or more of the cosplay crowd. They weren't the overly complicated/involved costumes like a set of mandalorian armor. But they were more detailed than something you'd get in a bag at spirit halloween.
That meme reminds me of a 1997 review in Entertainment Weekly of the Return of the Jedi Special Edition. The critic disparagingly 😠 says that the Emperor is like an intergalactic Mr. Burns. To be fair, she gave the movie a good B+ rating and, let's face it, she's not entirely wrong, is she? 🙂
I’m drawing a blank on which episode it is, but there’s one where they use the Imperial March (or maybe a song that sounds close enough to avoid paying Lucas) to start a scene with Mr. Burns. Now it’s going to drive me nuts until I can think of the episode.
Edit - they actually used the Imperial March in two scenes with Mr. Burns. One in "Marge Gets a Job" which I think is a great episode that doesn't get enough love. And again in "A Star is Burns." Which is an episode Matt Groening hates. It has its moments but is more uneven.
“Also,no new Star Wars games until we get the KOTOR remake!”
Absolutely! Unless, it’s Battlefront 3.

There were two: the episode where Mr. Burns falls in love with Marge and the film festival episode.
