I understand far too well the situation with trying to get Emperor Palpatine’s #1 Fan to a convention. Sarah's sole television viewing, sporadic that it is, consists of occasional binges of reality TV, so she walks in during my occasional bouts of watching (my cat Parker pitches fits in the afternoon if I don't put on "The Walking Dead" for him to watch from the couch) and realizes that she wants to know what's going on, but will have to get an hour of explanation. Hence, she'd be willing to go to a convention with me if I were a guest (fat chance of that happening these days), but even then she'd be with her back against the wall the whole time. I can't blame her, either.

sorry to bring my contrarian thoughts about Maul to the comments but i watched the first two episodes on monday and while i was really digging the art style, which is a first for me regarding SW 3D animation, i was a wee bit disappointed about the set up for the storyline! this is totally a me issue bc i am not into police narratives and i am happy it’s getting great reviews, but it feels a little too “Corran Horn” for my tastes. though maybe i will feel differently if they really lean into the investigation narrative!
