Very seriously, that watching challenge intrigues me from a design standpoint. I’ve been wavering back and forth about getting Disney Plus to watch “The Mandalorian” for one big reason, and that’s to go through and figure out WHY the aesthetics work as well as they do, especially with Doug Chiang taking things over at Lucasfilm. (I’m currently going through “The Art of Galaxy’s Edge” as additional reading for my Museum Studies degree, and I thought I was in awe of the Disney Experience crew before.) If you want to have regular viewings, let me know, and I’ll make a point to bring the handmade stuffed jalapenos.
I am a comics guy, and I cannot wait for that Jar Jar title. I'm so happy that Ahmed Best has been getting some redemption in recent years. Long live JarJar!
Same. I am glad that both Ahmed Best has been back in the Star Wars galaxy, and I’m glad he doesn’t appear to have any ill will. Because I don’t think anyone would blame him if he decided not to have anything to do with Star Wars for the rest of his life.
"Building a LEGO set shouldn’t be worse than working out." Also they should make large-print booklets for us middle-aged vision-impaired people putting together Halloween wreaths in the evening.
It feels like the circle of life is you start with duplos (do they still make those?) graduate to Legos, and now that we’re in our 40’s, better go back to duplos. Easier to handle lol
Do you know why George Lucas supposedly doesn't like Mara Jade? Honestly, I tried reading Heir to the Empire but I couldn't get into it. However, I like the idea of Mara Jade and Luke having a wife and son.
So what I’ve always read, because there’s no direct proof as far as I know, is George didn’t like the idea of Luke falling in love and getting married. Mara ruined the idea of the Jedi as Warrior Monks. It’s all hearsay. Maybe really George got dumped by a redhead when he was a teenager and has been holding a grudge ever since.

I may have to take you up on that. Would be fun to just binge something.
Just say when and where. Better, let’s see if we can get a group together: I really miss my old Babylon 5 watching parties from the Nineties.

Thanks for sharing my post and spotlighting the Jar Jar comic!
Of course! I always enjoy your newsletters. And I’m glad to see Jar Jar getting his due.
